I didn’t think I’d ever meditate, but then this happened
I used to think meditation was only about sitting quietly and clearing the mind, to cultivate the elusive feeling of “peace.”
This never felt inspiring to me, in fact I perceived it as immensely boring, impossible, scary, and, ironically, inauthentic.
So I never tried it. I stayed away from meditation, and I would not listen to anyone who talked about it.
All of this changed about 10 years ago, when my dad was sick with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. His mind, personality & quality of life were quickly changing and declining, and I suddenly found myself feeling too emotionally overwhelmed & grief-stricken to function.
I remember having to get a last-minute sub for my yoga sculpt class one weekend because I couldn’t stop crying, and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know who to talk to, or what to even say.
I ended up meeting & working with an intuitive spiritual coach, and in our first session together, she guided me into a meditative state. It was the first time I’d really experienced meditation, and the experience I had was very profound--immensely emotionally clearing, supportive in a way I’d never felt before, opening & elevating on a myriad of levels.
I got to experience a connection to not only myself and my emotions, which I’d never been able to interface with before, but I also opened my connection to the spiritual world, a realm of Divinity--something bigger, more magical, more vibrant, and beyond my tiny scope of perception.
This experience was healing & inspiring, and it changed the trajectory of my life (side note: this is what we call shifting from the fate path to the destiny path).
For years, I would go see this intuitive coach, and she would guide me into these profoundly healing meditative spaces. I began to CRAVE these experiences so much. I found them interesting, deep, and so unordinary.
Over the years, I gained the confidence to branch out on my own, and I began to study other types of spiritual/intuitive healing and meditation practices with other teachers.
The cool thing that happens when you decide to embark on this kind of pathway, is things start to magically show up right in front of you, for you to look into, study with, practice, etc. I would discover books, podcasts, websites, and online courses. Anytime something felt interesting and inspiring, I’d dive into it.
About 5 ago, I discovered one of the most profound ways to meditate--one that didn’t just involve my mind, or my inner vision, but my body, my feminine energy, my deepest source of power.
A practice that helped me drop out of my head and into my body.
✨ Womb Space Meditation. ✨
The first time I did it, I realized just how much energy, emotion, and intuition I had been holding in my womb space without even realizing it.
I had never been taught to connect with this part of myself. But once I did, it was like unlocking a hidden well of wisdom, creativity, and power.
Now, this practice has become one of the most grounding, nourishing, and empowering things I do. And I truly believe every woman should experience it at least once.
This is why I’m so excited to be leading a special guided meditation experience with my dear friend Lauren Kelley Holst (of Digitarot)—where I’ll guide you through this practice so you can feel the shift for yourself.
After the guided meditation, Lauren will share intuitive insights, as well as a live card reading for the group.
